Food Hygiene Star Rating Scheme
Derby City Council is also running a Food Hygiene Star Rating Scheme (“Scores on Doors” or "Scores on the Doors"). This is a pilot project being run in conjunction with the Food Standards Agency that provides information about hygiene standards within food businesses in Derby. The aim of the scheme is to provide information about the level of compliance with food hygiene legislation in an understandable and easily available form. It is also hoped that the public release of this information will have the added benefit of raising food hygiene standards in food businesses across the city.
