How to get copy certificates

You can get copies of birth, death or marriage certificates by calling into the Derby Register Office if the particular event happened with the City of Derby boundary or the county area of South Derbyshire.

Alternatively you can complete a printable application form and send it to us. You must enclose a stamped addressed envelope and the appropriate fee. All cheque payments to be crossed and made payable to 'Derby City Council'. Copy certificates cost £7.00 each.
