The Council's Budget and Council Tax
The Council has published budget proposals for 2008/2011 in preparation for finalising the 2008/2009 budget in March 2008. More information can be found on the page.

Statement of Accounts
The Council, each year produces a set of accounting statements which comply with the code of practice on local authority accounts. They are audited each year by our external auditors Grant Thornton. For more information and links to documents please visit Statement of Accounts.
Other Finance Statements
From time to time we publish additional financial statements. Currently local government is required to identify a plan to achieve 2.5% efficiency savings each year for the next three years as part of the Central Government's 'Gershon' Review. Local authorities were required to submit a statement on how they propose to meet the target in 2005/6.
