1App and the new requirements to submit a valid planning application
As part of the drive to provide a quicker and more efficient planning service, the Government has introduced a new standard set of planning application forms, to be used throughout the country. Alongside this will be new information requirements for the validation of planning applications by Local Planning Authorities.
The Government believes the planning process will be greatly improved by these changes which will make it easier for applicants to submit a ‘valid’ application, thereby speeding up the processing time.
Different types of applications require different levels of information and supporting information. A national core list will apply in all cases. Then additional items may be specified locally from a list provided by central government.
The national list will set out the statutory requirements
- 27Kb The local list comprises additional information
- 59Kb, we will require to validate an application.
New Application Forms
The new application forms are available to download in PDF format from our web page - 1App Application Packs and Making a Planning Application, each pack contains the relevant form, guidance notes and requirement lists, these can be printed off and used to submit applications. We no longer accept our old paper application forms as part of an application.
With the 1App forms some applications have now been combined into one form e.g. Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent. If you have any questions about which form you need to use or what information should be submitted with your application, please contact Development Control.
