We adopted the City of Derby Local Plan Review, CDLPR, on the 25 January 2006. It forms the basis for most decisions on land use planning affecting the city.

The CDLPR was automatically 'saved' as part of the development plan for three years from its date of adoption. An application to save most of the plan's policies beyond the three year period was the subject of a Direction by the Secretary of State on 25th January 2009. The Secretary of State’s Direction is available from the link below.

The Secretary of State has saved most of the policies of the Local Plan. The saved policies will remain in force until replaced by new policies as part of the Local Development Framework. Policies that have expired from 25^th January 2009 are:

H5 West Chellaston

H7 Heatherton, Littleover

H8 Land to the West of Former Rolls Royce Training Centre, Station Road, Mickleover

H10 West Chellaston

E3 Protection of Best and Most Versatile Agricultural Land

E28 Telecommunications

LE7 City Hospital, Mickleover

The expired policies and related written justification have been struck out in the electronic version of the chapters in the Written Statement available to view using the links below. Please note that a few saved policies cross refer to the expired ones but for legal reasons these have not been amended.
