Development of the Manor/Kingsway Hospital Site
The adopted City of Derby Local Plan Review allocates land at the Manor Kingsway Hospital as a major mixed use regeneration opportunity. The site is expected to be redeveloped for a high quality business park along with around 700 houses, including 200 ‘key worker’ units for hospital staff, extensions to existing healthcare uses, a park and ride scheme and open space.
In 2007 we drew up and consulted on a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for the site in partnership with the landowners and English Partnerships. This set out in more detail guidelines for the development of the site. The SPD has now been formally adopted and will be a material consideration when planning applications are determined within the SPD area. The SPD can be viewed by following the link below.
