Arthur Court and It's Workers
Our philosophy is to make sure disabled people take charge of their own lives and can live independently.
Arthur Court is an ordinary flat which does not stand out from any of the other flats and houses in the area. It has technical aids and equipment that are designed to support or enable people to gain greater independence. It has Council safety and fire regulations apply and smoke detectors, fire alarm and emergency communication systems.
There is a Service Manager and three part time Day Service Workers. Other people who may be involved or use Arthur Court with you could be:
We will support your own independent by:

helping you to new experiences that may increase your independence

looking at what is available in your chosen area, for example, doctors, dentists, shops, Post Offices and so on

helping you to assess your own needs around independent living

helping you daily living skills without being restricted by what people think you can do

making sure you’re with other disabled people but to be with people you want to be with

making sure skills and activities in the community, not in a ‘special place’ away from the community

helping you with experiences such as being alone, traffic, street noise, answering the front door and so on helping to build yourself-confidence.
