All profiles of children are fictional and all children in photographs are models.

Nicole is 11 years old and is from a White British ethnic background. She has been in care for the last three years and is living with her current foster carers on a short-term basis. She needs a one or two parent family who can make a long–term commitment to offer her a long-term foster home for the next seven years.
Nicole attends a mainstream school and tries hard to improve her schoolwork. Her teachers describe her as a very thoughtful girl but like many others of a similar age she occasionally likes to get her own way on some issues. She enjoys family activities and listening to music. She would benefit from being the only or youngest child within a household. A foster carer will receive £272 a week in fees and allowances to look after Nicole.

Lewis is 12 years old. He is from an African-Caribbean ethnic background and needs a two-parent family from a similar ethnic background who can offer him a long-term foster home throughout his teenage years.
Lewis is making steady progress at school and enjoys learning about new things. Although he has a number of friends, he also enjoys his own company and likes his own space. He is interested in his own appearance and likes to be smart. Foster carers will get around £272 a week to look after him.

Daniel is a three-month old baby. He has been taken into care because his parents are not able to look after him at the moment. He needs to live with a foster carer for the next six to nine months. His care plan could involve returning home back to his parents or finding adoptive parents for him.
A foster carer will need to stay at home to look after Daniel and will be given around £113 a week in financial allowances to look after him. A cot will be provided and it is not necessary for the foster carer to have a spare bedroom in the house.

Chris is 10 years old. He enjoys playing football and riding his bike. He is making steady progress at school. He has lived with foster carers since he was five but they have recently moved to a different area of the country.
Chris is now living in a children’s home but ideally needs to live with foster carers throughout his teenage years. His behaviour recently has become occasionally disruptive because of the uncertainty of his future but he has the potential to be a rewarding child to look after. Chris will need to be the youngest or only child in the household and will need his own bedroom. A foster carer will receive around £250 a week in fees and allowances.

Sarah is 6 years old, her sister Clare is 5 years old and her brother Kevin is 3 years old. They are very close to each other and need a two parent foster care family who can look after all of the children as a group for around a year until they are ready to move back to their birth parents or adoptive parents.
The children are in care because of alleged parental neglect. They are bright, healthy children who are making good progress at school and have the potential to be rewarding children to look after.
Foster carers will receive around £363 a week in allowances to look after the children. They would need to be the only or by far the youngest children in the household.
