Derby has a wide range of housing to offer people, from new-build executive homes to city-living apartments, traditional terraced houses and family properties.
Social housing in Derby is provided through a wide range of providers. We try to respond to current housing issues facing residents through consultation and plan for the future.
Council housing is managed by Derby Homes
, an arms length management organisation. It manages, maintains and improves Derby's Council housing and estates.
Housing associations also provide social housing in Derby, and the Council runs the Derby Homefinder service
to help people find the right kind of home to live in from those provided by the Council and housing associations.
As well as providing housing, the Council also works to raise standards in privately rented accommodation and works to improve housing in areas of the city through schemes such as the area renewal programme, and the Housing Renewal Policy
