Local Housing Allowance - Keeping Landlords Informed

The Local Housing Allowance changes will have a major impact for landlords who get Housing Benefit payments paid to them. Because of this we are trying to keep our landlords informed as we prepare for these changes.

We have issued two newsletters telling landlords about the changes. You can read these newsletters here.

LHA Events for Landlords

On 20 September, we held our first landlord event. The evening was a success with over 40 landlords attending. We were fortunate to have guest speaker Sally Roberts, from Coventry City Council, who told us how LHA has been introduced there.

The aim of this event was to inform landlords about LHA and help them to prepare for this major change. What was clear from this event was that landlords had many questions and areas of concern they wanted to clear up and so we held a second event on 28 November which proved equally successful.
