The Derby Arts Forum is the principal advocate of the arts and their value, raising their profile in the local region. The Forum encourages collaboration, networking opportunities and knowledge sharing. It is also the over-arching strategic lead for the Arts in Derby and is responsible for delivering elements of Derby’s Cultural Strategy 2009-11.

 

Benefits of joining the Derby Arts Forum

By completing the Arts Forum joining form and returning it to the Arts Team email or postal address listed below you will be invited to the Arts Forum meetings which take place at least four times a year.  These meetings are perfect opportunities for networking, information sharing and being at the heart of Arts development within the City.

All individuals and organisations involved in the origination, development and promotion of arts activity in Derby are encouraged to become members of the Derby Arts Forum.

Arts Forum members receive email bulletins on topics like:

• Recruitment and Employment
• Professional Development
• Grants information and Grant criteria updates

Derby Arts Forum - constituent groups

In order to ensure the voice of artists is heard at the highest level, the Arts Forum has a number of artform specific constituent groups. The Chairs of these groups sit on the Arts Forum Executive, some of whom are members of the Cultural City Executive. The purpose of signing up to constituent groups is to have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic development of your artform in Derby.  The options are all listed on the joining form, you can join as many constituent groups as you wish.

You will have the option of joining the LIDNet   database.  This website offers contact names and numbers for a wide variety of Tutors, Speakers, Clubs, Societies and Community Support Groups.
