Derby has a thriving literature scene featuring a host of year-round events as well as the bi-annual Festival of Words and the annual Alt.Fiction day. Derby also has a wide range of writing groups runnning around the city, offering support and advice to prospective writers in the area.
There is also a monthly Live Words email bulletin, giving details of all the upcoming events as well as competitions and job opportunities in the region and beyond.
