Derby. A city for all ages

Derby City Libraries Home Page

Welcome to the Derby City Libraries home page

Here you will find information about the services that we provide and any special events that are taking place.

Fines Amnesty!

July 1st to July 11th

Visit a Derby City Library and we will waive any fines that you owe us.

Reading is very important - everything begins with reading - and we want as many people in Derby as possible to use their library service.

Bookmark our renewals telephone number - 01332 641700.  Easier still, you can always renew your items online.  You'll need a PIN number to do this.  If you don't have one, ask the library staff.

Some libraries now offer a No Late Fee collection.  There are no fines and you can keep a book for up to 6 months.

Events for everyone

There's lots happening in Derby libraries and something for everyone.  Look at our events page to find out more.
