Project LiRA

 
Project LiRA is a Big Lottery funded project that will result in three new libraries being added to the City Council network, at Allenton, Chellaston and Mackworth.
Mackworth and Chellaston will have new, purpose-built libraries of around 265 square metres. In Allenton we will enter into partnership with the Adult Learning Service, and extend their existing premises to create a library of around 112 square metres.

Project timetable
The target opening dates for the new libraries are as follows:
• Allenton – May 2009
• Chellaston – January 2010
• Mackworth – March 2010
