Paintings by Natalie Dowse
28 June 2008 – 24 August 2008
Natalie’s work is about being ‘displaced’ and the exploration of new surroundings, about the stranger observing their new environment and how we respond to the confusion of the unfamiliar.
This exhibition is a culmination of the work made during a 10-month residency derived from the theme ‘Sense of Place’ and inspired by the people and landscape of Derbyshire.
Look out for Natalie’s work on Derby’s Big Screen.
Natalie Dowse is the winner of the Derbyshire Community Foundation’s Vickers Art Award and teaching fellowship at the University of Derby 2007-08.
