Which football pitches are available in Derby parks?
Derby City Council manages 68 full-size senior football pitches across the city's parks. We also have a number of Mini Soccer -
pitches at the Race Course.

The football season for the Council's pitches starts in September and finishes at the end of April.
Training
All parks can be used for football training but you must avoid the pitches.
How to register you team in a league
All teams must be part of a League to be allocated a pitch, there are several different leagues. It is the teams' decision which league they want to be in. To become part of a league contact the Derbyshire FA -

How to apply for a parks pitch as your home ground
If your team wants to apply for a park pitch, you need to apply through your League Secretary. We send applications forms to League Secretaries before the start of each season, in May. Your team you will need to tell your secretary which park and pitch you would like to apply for as your home ground. Someone in your team must then fill in and return the application form to:

Summer pitches
There's a limited number of football pitches normally available through the summer - usually the ones located at Darley Fields. To book a football pitch in the summer, contact Darley Park Rangers' Office.
Casual Matches
If you would like to book a casual match on Saturdays/ Sundays please contact the Rangers' Office. We need to get requests normally at least four days before the date you want to play but if, there is a Park Ranger on duty, you can ask on the day of play.
Please note: we don't normally allow non-league matches/ casual matches between October and February.
Mid week matches
To book mid-week matches please contact the Darley Park Rangers' Office. Please note that pitches are not normally available on Fridays because we need to mark the pitches.
Cancellation of matches due to poor ground conditions
We have to cancel matches if the ground conditions mean that play would damage the pitches. We make a decision on the ground conditions at 10am on the Friday before the matches.
