Council Run Community Centres

We run several community centres throughout the city. These centres offer a variety of community groups and are available to hire for one-off and regular events for personal use or for your club, group or association. If you are interested in joining any of the groups or activities listed below or you would like to book a slot for your own group please contact us at the Community Centre Liaison Team. Activities are correct at time of publishing.

Chesapeake Community Centre

Chesapeake Road, Chaddesden, Derby DE21 6RD

Chesapeake Community Centre is in the centre of the community. The large stage and spacious hall make it a great venue for events and drama rehearsal. There is also a seperate room with a serving hatch.

Field Lane Community Centre

Field Lane, Alvaston, Derby, DE24 0GW

Field Lane Community Centre is situated at the entrance to the park, near to a multi-use games area and children's play area. The centre has a warm and friendly atmosphere and is well-used by the local community and sports clubs.

Normanton Park Community Centre is a modern building in the centre of the park. The centre is well-equipped for a range of activities with sporting activities available nearby.

Rykneld Community Centre is within its own grounds with a private garden, on the edge of a recreation ground. It has a spacious hall with a seperate lounge area.
