Derby. A city for all ages

Free Swimming

Free Swimming will be available for people aged 60 and over and 16 and under until 31 July 2010.

The Government has announced that the funding for Free Swimming for people aged 60 and over and 16 and under will end on Saturday 31 July 2010, instead of the proposed date of 31 March 2011.

Following this decision charges will apply from 1 August 2010 for casual swimming at Moorways Swimming Pool and Queen’s Leisure Centre.

Unfortunately charges will also apply to the school holiday activities from 1 August 2010 that had been promoted as free.

Derby City Council apologises for informing customers at short notice that charges will apply to casual and school holiday sessions from 1 August 2010.
