What are the aims of Ready Set Go?

Case study - Hooked Extreme
Hooked is an extreme sports club based in Derby, set up to provide a service to young people with an interest in alternative sports. They keep tabs on all things extreme, and communicate it back to people interested in it through their own dedicated website.
Ready, Set, Go helped secure £5,000 worth of funding to help the club set up and become established. The b-sporty team worked with Hooked to increase the amount of delivery time that the club could have, which included skateboarding becoming part of the curriculum.
The club got event planning advice and support to help them get their brand out across the city and get noticed. Regular meetings and consultation with the b-sporty team allow on going support. Volunteers from the club attended workshops and training to give them the skills to carry out their own work.
The club are currently awaiting Sport England Clubmark Accreditation and Ready Set Go continues to support that.
The club wishes to continue its expansion and recruit more motivated volunteers to join the team and help them to continue their development. They are also undertaking a consultation alongside Derby City Council and other partners to look at developing a ‘regionally significant’ skate park for Derby.

Sport England Clubmark
Ready, Set, Go can also assist your club in working towards Clubmark, which is a nationally recognised accreditation scheme. Clubmark is most suitable for well-established clubs who have made a conscious decision to apply. Ready, Set, Go can be used as a tool to get you in a suitable position so your club can make a successful Clubmark application in the future.
