Customer Information - The bfit gym free weights area at Springwood Leisure Centre is closed for health and safety reasons. The rest of the gym is open for use by members. Repair work is due to start on Friday 4 September, with protective floor mats to prevent any further damage. Free weights are available at our other bfit gyms at Queen’s Leisure Centre, Moorways Sports Centre and Shaftesbury Sports Centre. Please contact Springwood Leisure Centre for more information.
Springwood Leisure Centre, based in Oakwood, offers a library in the centre workout classes, a creche, a gym, outdoor courts and pitches, and a sports hall.
Opening times
- Our centre is open: Monday to Friday 7am to 10pm, Saturday 9am to 8pm, Sunday 9am to 9pm
- Our bfit gym is open: Monday to Friday 6.30am to 10pm, Saturday 9am to 8pm, Sunday 9am to 9pm

NEW - Indoor Cycling
Indoor Cycling sessions are being held at Springwood Leisure Centre. Indoor cycling is a group workout session, providing you with the experience of outdoor road cycling, indoors! The sessions are great for working your heart and lungs, toning your lower body, improving posture, burning calories and helping you destress. For class times, visit our workout classes page.

Creche
The creche is for customers to use while they're using the leisure centre's facilities. It's held in the play cabin and provides activities for children to encourage physical, intellectual, language, emotional and social skills using a wide variety of experiences and materials.
- All sessions are registered with OFSTED.
- Children can stay in the creche for a maximum of two hours and parents must remain on-site.
- Passport to Leisure card holders can book up to seven days in advance, or five days for non-card holders.

Price: £1.65 for a one-hour session, £2.50 for a one and a half hour session, or £3.30 for a two-hour session.
School holidays: All 9am to 12 noon sessions will be available for one-year-olds up to their sixth birthday. No afternoon sessions will take place.

Children's activities
We have a variety of coaching courses for your child to get involved with, suitable from toddlers to 16-year-olds.
Junior Gym Sessions
We also have Junior Gym Sessions for 14 to 15-year-olds which are supervised by a qualified gym instructor to help strengthen muscles and bones, increase overall fitness levels and maintain a healthy body weight.
- Term time: Monday to Friday 4pm to 6pm, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
- School holidays: Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and 8pm to 10pm, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
A junior Active Starter session and registration form must be completed and signed by a parent or guardian before using the gym.

Choose between basketball, football, netball, hockey and lots more. A sports supervisor will organise the games and ensure that everything runs smoothly and safely. The first 55 minutes of your party will be in the main hall, the following hour will be in the Play Cabin. Maximum number of children: 20. |

If your child mad about football, this is the perfect party. For the first 55 minutes of the party, football will be set up in the main sports hall with a referee to make sure your party runs smoothly. The next hour will be in the Play Cabin. Maximum number of children: 20. |

Play Cabin (1 to 5 years)
The Play Cabin is a spacious room available for you to organise your own party. The room is available for a two hour session including setting up and clearing away of your party. Tables, chairs and a tape recorder will be provided but play equipment will not be included. Maximum number of children: 20. |

- Catering: as we have no catering facilities, it will be the party organiser's responsibilty to provide food and drink for the party. This can only be consumed in the Play Cabin.
- Birthday party invitations: Springwood Leisure Centre can provide guests with invitations.
- Party times available: Saturdays 5pm to 7pm (and 2pm to 4pm during school holidays). Sundays vary - please ask reception for available times.
