Get yourself healthy by starting walking today. If you want to get active or would like to try something different, there are many walking groups and walk routes for in Derby for you to try. If you are new to exercise and would simply like to find out more, contact the b-active team or send us an email.

Derby Walking Festival

Derby will be hosting its first ever walking festival this year from 12 September to 17 October 2010. Please visit www.visitderby.co.uk/derbywalkingfestival for more information.

Walk4Life

The national Walk4Life day will be taking place on Sunday 26 September 2010. Please visit www.walkevents.org for more information.

Derby City Health Walks

Our programme offers a number of FREE guided short walks in Derby city. Walks provide the opportunity to improve your health, make new friends and have fun.

Walks are under one hour and vary in distance and duration. Meeting points vary for some walks on a weekly basis.

Enjoying Derby

A series of weekly walks for all to engage adults with mental health conditions. Also, a range of one-off physical activity sessions linked to the national anti-stigma on mental health campaign.

A series of free walks and activities to help you enjoy our countryside. Led by local groups, the walks and activities are also a fun way to improve health.

Ramblers

The Ramblers is dedicated to protecting footpaths and other places to which the public has a right of way or access on foot, defending the beauty of the countryside and promoting walking for all. It has more than 140,000 members in 54 Areas and over 450 local groups.
