The Darley Park Concert takes place every year on the last weekend off August or the first weekend of September and usually runs to following times:
- 5.30pm - pre-concert entertainment starts
- 6.30pm - the concert itself starts, it ends at around 9pm.
- 7.25pm to 7.55pm - usually an interval
- 8.30pm
- the fireworks begin
Each year there is a different theme for the music. In 2009 the theme was around 40th celebration of the first moon landing.
Charges
Entry to the concert is free of charge.
Disabled access
There is disabled parking on the park and there are disabled toilets situated on both sides of the stage.
General information
- The 6.1, 6.2, 6.3, and 6.4 bus services all go along the A6 Duffield Road, past the top of the park, from Derby. For times, please contact Traveline

- car parking at the park is £5
- you can not sit in your car and see the concert
- you are not allowed to bring fireworks or open flares/candles
- the police are the people to speak to about traffic management measures in Darley Abbey village. Contact Derby Police Headquarters on 01332 613039
- young children are welcome, but must be aware that the fireworks are very loud and go on for quite some time
you are able to bring picnics, but not barbecues due to fire risks
- we ask that you don't bring animals to the park, as the fireworks can scare them
- it was advised you bring a torch as it is dark by the time the concert ends
- there is a free bike park to the left of the stage, stewarded by Derby Cycling Group
- the stage is at the bottom of the park, facing the hill
- chairs are not supplied
- the Lost Persons' tent is to the left of the stage
- there are usually children's inflatables at the village end of the park
- there is always food stands and a bar
- we hand out plastic sacks on the day, for food and other waste, and for recyclables
- it is requested that you do not bring gazebos or tents to the park as they obscure the view.
