The Press Office

The press office writes and distributes press releases to media outlets, helps arrange media interviews and briefings, and looks for opportunities to promote the work of the Council and its services through the media to residents.

It handles around 250 calls from the media each month, ranging from local newspapers through to national television requests, both for news and current affairs programmes.

The Council also operates a media contacts system, where journalists are able to contact officers directly. Contact Andrew Auld, Head of Communications and Consultation, on 01332 255655 for more details.
