  • Due to the Riverlights development at the bus station, temporary accommodation has been erected on the Council House car park for the bus operators’ staff. This means that the capacity of this car park has been reduced for the length of the contract. If you are a regular user of this car park, it could be that you will not find a space as easily as you normally do and you may have to seek alternative parking. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.
  • Parking charges were increased on 6 January 2008 in all Derby City Council's charged parking areas. Please ensure that you check the tariff before paying for your parking.
  • The hours that the on-street pay and display restrictions apply in the City centre are due to change from 6pm to 8pm to provide consistency with the City Council's recently revised car park charges. This change is due to take place on 28 April 2008.
  • To help to attract more visitors to the Cathedral Quarter of the City, the on-street pay and display machines in that area will soon be issuing a voucher with every pay and display ticket. This voucher will entitle the purchaser to a full reimbursement of their parking fee when purchasing goods to a certain value in participating stores. This scheme is due to commence on 28 April 2008.
