Derby Bus Station is now fully operational.  The pictures featured below were taken on the Opening Day.

        

         

        

March 2010

The new bus station will be in operation from Sunday 28th March 2010.  Derby City Council have a Bus Station Guide; For more information please download the Derby Bus Station Guide (3.5mb, 11 pages).

Picture one, shows the seating area of the main concourse, looking towards the back of the Bus Station.  Picture two, shows the glass fronted office spaces, with the area to the left reserved for a retail unit.  Picture 3, shows the seating area on the main concourse looking out towards the bus bays and picture 4, shows the same seating area with a view looking out of the main Bus Station entrance onto the Morledge.

The Riverlights Development is progressing well, with work on the Bus Station nearing completion.

The Riverlights Development is progressing well.

The Riverlights development is progressing, with work on the interior moving rapidly. The roof and the office space of the development is now more defined and the back of the building is now taking shape.

January 2009

The Riverlights development has progressed well over the New Year with the outline of the bus bays and the roof almost complete. Progress of the development can be viewed in the photographs below:

December 2008

Work on the Riverlights development is well underway. The outline of the building is taking shape and the bays, that will define the frontage of the new bus station, can be clearly seen. Progress of the development can be viewed in the photographs below:
