Real Time Information Displays - 6 November 2008
Real Time Information Displays at certain stops on the 44/45 bus route in Alvaston/Boulton will be introduced before Christmas.
Temporary National Concessionary Travel Card - 1st October 2008 
The temporary National Concessionary Travel Cards that were issued during the spring have now expired. Therefore, any customers who still hold their temporary travel card and have not yet received their permanent card should call 01332 641772 for further details. Changes to Arriva Bus Services - 1st October 2008

Towards the end of October 2008 Arriva will be making a number of changes to its services, routes and timetables.
A summary of these changes are listed below:
- Route 20 Derby to Chaddesden will introduce a revised timetable including an increased daytime frequency.
- Route 22 Derby-Oakwood-Chaddesden and route 24 Derby-Chaddesden-Oakwood will introduce a revised timetable to include later journeys.
- Route 26 Derby-Chaddesden-Oakwood will introduce a revised timetable to include increased daytime frequency and later journeys.
- Route 28 and 29 Mackworth will introduce a revised timetable/route and now operate as circulars. Westbourne Park, Acton Road and Harlesden Ave will no longer be served. The route into the City Centre will no longer serve Stafford Street or Curzon Street but will operate along the Inner Ring Road via Ford Street with the first City Centre stop on Morledge adjacent East Street.
- Route 32 Derby to Littleover Lane will introduce a revised timetable and route to include a Sunday service running up to every 30 minutes. This service will no longer serve Porter Road or Overdale Road and will terminate at Babington Lane.
- Route 33 Derby-St Albans Road-Oaklands Ave will introduce a revised timetable and route to include later journeys and increased frequency in the evening and on Sundays. This service will now operate through the City Centre Via Babington Lane, Traffic Street and Morledge before reaching Victoria Street. The service no longer serves Monk Street or Hillsway but will serve The Hollow and Old Hall Road.
- Route 36 Derby to Sunnyhill will introduce a revised timetable to include later journeys.
- Route 37 and 38 Derby to Sinfin will introduce a revised timetable to include later journeys - daytime frequency on service 37 to decrease and on service 38 frequency will increase.
- Route 40 and 41 Derby to Allenton will move from stand A2 Morledge to now depart from stand A3 Morledge and will introduce a revised timetable to include later journeys.
- Thenewroute 42 Alvaston circular and route 43 Allenton circular will now depart from stand A3 Morledge.The 42 will run as follows: Morledge-The Cock Pitt-Station Approach-Pride Parkway-London Road-Shardlow Road-Harvey Road-Boulton Lane-Crayford Road-Boulton Lane-Chellaston Road-Osmaston Road-Ascot Drive- Pride Parkway-Station Approach-The Cock Pitt-Morledge.
- The 43 will run as follows: Morledge-The Cock Pitt-Station Approach-Pride Parkway-Ascot Drive-Osmaston Road-Chellaston Road-Boulton Lane-Crayford Road-Boulton Lane-Nunsfield Drive-Shardlow Road-London Road-Pride Parkway-Station Approach-The Cock Pitt-Morledge.
- Route 44, 45 will still depart from stand A2 Morledge but will introduce a revised timetable to include additional and later journeys.
- Routes 60 and 61 Chellaston will move from stand A3 Morledge and now depart from stand A4 Morledge and introduce a revised timetable to include later journeys. Route 60 outbound extended to serve Acrefield Way and Route 61 will run an additional evening and Sunday service. Route 61 will run an additional one bus per hour to Swadlincote via Melbourne.
- Routes 68, 68a and 68b Derby to Melbourne have been withdrawn.
- From Friday 31st October 2008 Arriva will offer late night services on a Friday and Saturday night departing from Victoria Street to the following areas: Route N26-City Centre-Oakwood, Route N38-City Centre-Normanton-Sinfin, Route N44-City Centre-Boulton-Alvaston, Route N61-City Centre-Allenton-Shelton Lock-Chellaston.

The current temporary National Concessionary Travel Cards that were issued during the spring will expire at the end of September. Therefore, any customers who still hold their temporary travel card and have not yet received their permanent card should either call into the Council House reception located on Corporation Street or call 01332 715035 for further details. Refunding Home to School Transport - 18/07/08

New National Concessionary Pass information - 19/05/08
Residents of Derby, who are entitled and have not yet received their new national concessionary travel card, please contact Derby City Council. Existing Gold Cards will not be vaild after the 31st May 2008; however they will be accepted after this date if accompanied by a temporary concessionary pass. Derby residents can get a temporary concessionary pass by visiting the council house. You will need to bring your existing Gold card as proof. National Falls Awareness Day, Derby DE1 2RG, 24 June 2008 - 14/05/08
Stands and activities run by various people from the health, social and voluntary sector, concentrating on encouraging older people in Derby City to get more active, either by themselves or within their community. This event will help older people to reach their potential and live longer, more productive and independent lives.

National Concessionary Passes to arrive 2nd April-28/03/08
The first of the new national concessionary travel passes, for the over 60s and certain groups of disabled people, have now reached residents in Derby; however not all of them have arrived. Unfortunately we have been let down by Fujitsu, the national card supplier appointed by the DfT. As of lunch time today Fujitsu are assuring us that all passes should be with the card holders in Derby by April 2nd. The existing Gold Cards will remain valid until the end of May so people can continue to use them for local bus journeys within Derby/Derbyshire until their new card arrives. New Service to East Midlands Airport-18/03/08
On the 23rd March the Airline Shuttle service is being replaced by the Derby Skylink service. With an improved timetable, operating 24 hours a day, and brand new buses this is the best way to East Midlands Airport. For more information please visit the East Midlands Airport Information web page.
