FULL APPROVAL AWARDED!
On Friday 31 October 2008, the Department for Transport announced that Connecting Derby has been granted Full Approval.
The application was submitted on 21 August 2008 . Full Approval is needed in order to receive the funding required to complete the Connecting Derby scheme. This represents the final stage in the funding process before construction begins.

DEMOLITIONS CONTINUE - UPDATED 5 NOVEMBER 2008
Properties in Abbey Street have now been demolished in advance of the construction of the road. 3 Leopold Street and the garage at the corner of Curzon Street have also been taken down.
An application has been submitted for the demolition of 13 / 15 Dunkirk.
Other properties which are to be demolished will be advertised on this page.
Before any property is demolished it is subjected to various health and safety procedures including inspections to determine that no bats are present and to check for asbestos so that it can be dealt with.
Notices will be posted in advance of any work starting.
