Future Support for Derby Businesses

Infinity Park Derby

As part of the proposed Regional Growth Fund allocation, Infinity Park Derby (IPD) project will bring a manufacturing focussed innovation and technology park to Derby. The IPD will provide a location for supply chain companies working in the aerospace, automotive and rail industries.

The site is an exciting opportunity to nurture and grow new and emerging high technology businesses that will thrive on an environment of collaboration and technology transfer.

The IPD aims to:

  • drive the innovation capacity of UK companies within the region
  • provide the networks and facilities that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) need to find commercial routes to market for new innovations
  • embed innovation in workforce skills and production processes.

The IPD will build upon and help diversify Derby's existing strengths in high value manufacturing and our existing clusters of companies around planes, trains and auto-mobiles. In doing so it will help support the UK's competitiveness in these areas and contribute significantly to the drive to increase UK exports.

For more information about IPD contact:

At the centre of Infinity Park (IPD) is the iHub. The aim of the iHub is to encourage open innovation practices that provide a platform for strengthening supply chains and supporting company growth.

The vision for this facility is that by 2020 it will become recognised globally as the "National Centre for Supply Chain Innovation in Transport Engineering".
