The Communications Division is responsible for proactively managing the authority's relationship with the media, providing news and information on the Council's services and offering professional advice and support on all media issues.
The team act as a first point of contact at the Council for local, national and international media, issuing news releases, organising events and photo calls and overseeing the Council’s digital communications including the website.
Our Press Office should be the first port of call for all media enquiries. Communications Officers are on hand to answer all calls and where appropriate arrange interviews with members and senior officers.
