Title:

Application for an Environmental Permit

Start date: 06/03/2017
Closing date: 03/04/2017
Status: Closed
Why are we consulting? Derby City Council is consulting on a draft Decision following an application for a Small Waste Incineration Plant (SWIP) which is proposed to be operated for a period of up to 12 months by Envirofusion Ltd. If approved, the plant will operate at the company’s site at Unit 7, Northedge Business Park, Alfreton Rd, Derby.

The application is made under the provisions of the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 and the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED, 2010/75/EU)

The Council has now considered the application and is consulting on the draft Decision.

Note: An application for planning permission has also been made to the Council. These applications are separate and independent of each other. The developer will need to obtain planning consent before it is allowed to commence operations. The determination of the Environmental Permit, which has been made in line with the Environmental Permitting Regulations and Industrial Emissions Directive does not affect the determination of the planning application.
