Overview: Derby City Council is consulting on future long-term funding for a number of local voluntary sector organisations. Before making a final decision the Council is gathering comments from service users, the public and stakeholders on the services provided by these organisations..
Reason for consultation: At the 27th September 2011 Cabinet meeting the Council made decisions about the grant aid allocation to the Voluntary, Community and Faith sector. These decisions will have an impact on some grant aided organisations which have been funded by the Council in the past. Before making a final decision the Council wants to gather the views of the organisations, the service users, public and local agencies and organisations.

Who is being consulted? Voluntary sector organisations, their service user, the public and local agencies and stakeholders.
How? Organisations affected, service users and the Reach Out Panel will be invited to complete an online questionnaire or a paper questionnaire . This is also available more widely through the Derby City Council website and existing networks including the Community Action Derby newsletter and the Council’s Diversity Forums. Focus groups will be organised for service users who may have difficulty accessing the questionnaire.
Who can take part? Open to volunteers.
