Overview: Face-to-face interviews for the Derby City Council Satisfaction Survey will be undertaken with people living in all 17 wards in Derby.

The survey asks people what they think about a wide range of Council services as well as how satisfied or dissatisfied they are with the Council overall.

M.E.L Research Ltd, an independent market research company with their field force of interviewers will carry out this survey on our behalf.
Reason for consultation: The Council has carried out regular satisfaction surveys with Derby residents for over ten years. This helps us to understand resident's views on Council services, including key areas for improvement. It also helps us to measure the impact of improvements to services and the city.

Who is being consulted? A sample of 1,000 Derby residents will be invited to take part in the survey.
How? Face-to-face interview. All addresses will be selected at random. M.E.L interviewers will carry photo identification and will call at addresses at different times of day to ensure a wide range of people are invited to take part in the survey.
