Councillors - surgeries

How do I meet the councillors that represent my ward?

Each electoral ward in Derby has three councillors (also called ‘electoral members’).

Find the councillors in your ward.

You can meet councillors at:

  • Surgeries - these are face-to-face meetings held by councillors for local people to raise issues in their area. They can take the form of a walkabout in the area or sit-down meetings.

  • Neighbourhood Forums - these are local meetings held every three months in your area where you can meet your councillors, as well as members of your Neighbourhood Board – the group that leads on behalf of the neighbourhood.

Councillors may take up residents’ issues with Council officers, the local Neighbourhood Board or with a specific committee.
