Publication scheme - Guide to Information

The Publication Scheme is information we proactively publish to make it easier for you to understand how we make decisions and spend public money.

The information is available in one or more of these formats …

CSV = A comma-separated values, file stores tabular data (numbers and text) in plain-text form.

PDF = Portable Document Format is a file format used to represent documents in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems.

URL = A uniform resource locator, Internet link to the information.

XLS = Microsoft Excel format spreadsheet document

XML = Extensible Markup Language is a markup language that defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable.

Information Reuse

Most to the information in the publication scheme is owned by the Council and is published under Open Government License which means it can be used for research, reporting or publication.

However, where the information listed is not owned by the Council, copyright licensing rules apply and you must get the information owner permission to use it.

The information cannot be edited or used selectively to distort or misrepresent the data as a whole.

Some information may be removed, known as redaction, because of a Freedom of Information Act exemption. For example, because it includes personal information that could identify an individual, or information that is commercially sensitive.
