Darley Barn Outdoor Centre opened its doors in Autumn 2007. Located at Darley Park, in the heart of the Derwent Mills World Heritage Site, the facility is ideally situated for canoeing, environmental and heritage activities.

Schools and youth groups

The centre offers a wide range of packages which link into the curriculum and can be tailored to groups needs including Duke of Edinburgh preparation, canoeing, caving, , orienteering, indoor and outdoor climbing, environmental, low and high ropes and team building exercises.

Local residents and community groups

There are lots of opportunities for local people and groups such as hiring the centre's meeting rooms and kitchen, joining the outdoor activity club to do canoeing and activities at selected weekends or even booking a birthday party with a difference.  There's also the chance to get involved in environmental work in the park.
