Species Details

Glabrous Whitlowgrass is a rare native ephemeral of a variety of bare dry habitats mostly on Carboniferous Limestone (Fairfield Church SK0674, Cromford SK2957 & Ashover SK3463). Habitats it occurs in include shallow soil over limestone outcrops, bare patches in grassland, walls and even pavement cracks. It is probably under-recorded due to the problems of separating it from other members of its genus.
