Children's centres
What are children's centres?
Children's centres are places where families with children under five years old can go to meet other families in their area. Health Visitors and Family Visitors also use children's centres so that you make arrangements to speak to them about any concerns you may have about your child. The centres also offer a range of services that you can use, such as:
- Stay and play groups
- Baby clinics
- Breastfeeding groups
- Adult learning courses
- Jobcentre plus sessions
- Childcare.

Where is my local children's centre?
There are 18 children's centres in Derby and you will be able to use the centre closest to you. You can ring or visit a centre to find out about joining.
