Day Care

Who can use Day Care?

Social Services provides day care for older people, people with a learning or physical disability, and for people with mental health needs.

Day care can help you to keep active and involved with life. It can also give the person who normally cares for you a break.

What happens in Day Care?

  • We arrange activities and outings so that you can enjoy yourself!
  • You can meet other people who are in situations similar to your own.
  • We help you arrange other services such as chiropody and hairdressing.
  • You can get support with specific health issues such as dementia.
  • We will put you in touch with support groups.
  • We will assess your needs and agree with you the best way that we can help you.

The services that we offer you may be available as a cash alternative. This is called a Direct Payment. You can use this money to be in control of your own services. Talk to your worker or contact Social Services for more information.

Please get in touch if you think we can help.
