Club Gaming Permits may be granted to members’ clubs and Miners’ Welfare Institutes, but not commercial clubs, to authorise the use of up to three category B3A, B4, C or D gaming machines (three machines in total), as well as equal chance gaming and games of chance.
If a club does not wish to have a Club Gaming Permit or if they are a commercial club not permitted to provide non-machine gaming, they may apply for a Club Machine Permit. This authorises the use of up to three category B4, C or D gaming machines (three machines in total).
Complete the Club Gaming Permit, Club Machine Permit New/Renewal Form and send this with the relevant payment. Please download our Current List of Gambling Fees document for more information.
As well as the licence application fee, you will also have to pay an annual fee. This is due 30 days after the permit is granted. Subsequent annual fees are due on the anniversary of the granting of the permit. Download our Current List of Gambling Fees document for more information.

Permits are valid for 10 years and then you can renew it.
Holders of Club Gaming Permits should follow the Code of Practice issued by the Gambling Commission. The Code of Practice refers to conditions for the location and operation of machines and also best practice for access to gambling by children and young persons.
