There’s lots to do for children in the school holidays, including learn to swim, splash sessions and cheerleading.

At Moorways Sports Complex, Allenton, you will find:

Opening times

Off-peak times take place Monday to Friday until 3.45pm in our gym and until 4.00pm in our courts, and also all day during weekends and bank holidays.

Moorways Sports Complex's facilities and activities

• Swim or learn to swim in our two pools.
• Use our b-active gyms.
• Take part in our group exercise classes, including Bootcamp Circuits, Aqua Fit and Zumba.
• Take part in our Spin classes.
• Use our courts, pitches and athletics track for casual games, matches or tournaments.
• Book your child onto one of our term time activity courses.
• Children can take part in our holiday activities.
• Book a children's birthday party or Splash party.
• Hire our meeting and training rooms.

Active Living sessions at Moorways Sports Complex

We run activity sessions for people who are new to exercise or returning after a break called 'Active Living' sessions. Take part in badminton, bowls, sequence dancing and group exercise classes. These sessions are also suitable for older people.

Women only sessions at Moorways Sports Complex

We run women only swimming sessions in our swimming pool.

Accessibility at Moorways Sports Complex

At our sports centre and swimming pool, we have:

• ramped entry into the centre
• automatic doors for easy wheelchair access
• a hearing induction loop available at reception
• a Minicom to help hearing impaired people to contact us
• Braille and tactile signs
• toilets and changing rooms for disabled people
• equality range of gym equipment
• pool hoists
• easy access steps into our swimming pool
• a wheelchair lift at our athletics stadium only
• disabled car parking
• free admission for carers if they are helping a disabled person take part in an activity.

How do I get to Moorways Sports Complex?

Moorways Sports Complex is located on Moor Lane, Allenton, Derby DE24 9HY – by the junction of Moor Lane and Osmaston Park Road.

You can catch buses 40 or 41 towards Allenton, 60 or 61 towards Chellaston from the city centre by the new bus station.

If you are visiting us by car, we have free car parking on site for our customers.
