What types of car park does the Council have?

Pay and display car parks

To use these car parks, you need to buy a ticket as soon as you have parked. Important:  our pay and display car parks don’t give change and we don’t allow people time to get change.

Pay on exit car parks

These types of car parks gives the customer the flexibility to carry out their business for as long as is necessary without worrying about returning to their car by a certain time.. You need to take a ticket when you enter the car park, then on your return, you take your ticket to the pay station and pay for the time you were parked. The pay station machines at this parking facility give change.

I use the Council's car parks regularly. Can I buy a season ticket?

Yes, and you may be able to use your season ticket at your regular and other Council car parks – download Parking in Derby to find out which car parks apply or contact us if you need a paper copy.
