Climate Week is a supercharged national campaign to inspire a new wave of action on climate change. It culminates in thousands of events and activities, planned by organisations from every sector of society. Showcasing real, practical ways to combat climate change, the campaign aims to renew our ambition to create a more sustainable, low-carbon future.
Climate Week is backed by every part of society, including the Prime Minister, Paul McCartney, the NHS, Girlguiding UK and the National Association of Head Teachers.
During the last Climate Week, over 3,000 events were attended by half a million people across the UK for the second successive year.
We want you to start thinking about how you could showcase your organisation's sustainability initiatives during Climate Week 2013. Email us on climate.change@derby.gov.uk and tell us what great things you have planned. We will then share it on our website, along with events that are being run across the city.
You can also tweet us at @DerbyCC or by using the hashtag #ClimateDerby
