Council meetings and engagements
All public meetings are taking place virtually using Skype for Business and are being livestreamed on YouTube. Public meetings are available to watch back on our YouTube channel.
Agendas and reports for all public meetings are published on the Democracy Portal five working days before each meeting. Democratic Services are currently working from home and therefore paper copies of agendas are not available for public inspection. The dates and times of upcoming meetings are available to view on the meetings calendar.
In person civic engagements have been paused during the lockdown period, however the Mayor and Deputy Mayor are still accepting invitations for virtual engagements held over Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Civic Services are working hard to ensure that longstanding relationships with partners and local organisations are maintained through virtual events, by utilising social media and sending messages of support from the Mayor.
Residents can still request messages from the Mayor for significant birthdays and anniversaries through the online booking form.
As ward surgeries currently cannot take place as usual, councillors are being supported to introduce virtual surgeries. Residents will be able to book an appointment through the Members’ Services team to speak to their local ward councillors via Microsoft Teams. Email email@example.com.
Virtual surgeries will take place monthly.
