Derby City Council’s libraries at Mickleover, Normanton and Alvaston, as well as the Local Studies Library and Riverside, are currently closed. We are working hard to reopen as soon as possible and look forward to welcoming you back. Any announcements about reopening will be made here and on social media. In the meantime the eBook library is available.
The city’s Community Managed Libraries at Allestree, Allenton, Blagreaves, Chellaston, Derwent, Mackworth, Chaddesden Park, Sinfin, Spondon and Springwood, which are not run by Derby City Council, remain closed to the public.

We are busy preparing our centres ready to provide safe facilities in line with government and sporting guidelines. Leisure centres currently remain closed, but once we have the date to open, we will be ready to welcome you back.
Derby Arena, Queen's Leisure Centre, Springwood Leisure Centre and Moorways Stadium remain closed. The Steve Bloomer ATP pitch at the racecourse is also closed.

Allestree Park Golf Course has re-opened to players. Tennis Courts are open to book. At Markeaton Park, Footgolf, Pitch and Putt and Disc Golf are now open daily from 10.30am. More information is available on the Derby Parks COVID-19 update page.
In line with Government guidance, our indoor and outdoor events programme across the city will not be going ahead until at least the end of August 2020, with some indoor changes across the Autumn.
The Hannells Darley Park Concert on 30 August and Derby Folk Festival from 2 to 4 October have both been cancelled as live events, but will go ahead as virtual online events instead. More information, and details of all events that are affected, can be found on the Derby LIVE website. We will update this list when new information becomes available.
The Sales and Information Centre phoneline on 01332 255800 is now open from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, but the building at Riverside Chambers, Full Street, Derby, remains closed to the public.

Our BMX Tracks and Skate Parks are now open. Please stick to the British Cycling and Skateboard England guidelines which you can read here.

All angling on Derby’s parks is managed by the Earl of Harrington’s Fishing Club, who have put guidelines in place for it to resume. The guidelines include the requirement for anglers, as is the case with all park users, to practise social distancing.
