Home to school transport providers
In order to support the impact on our local providers who provide transport for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, we have taken the decision to honour all payments for contracted taxi services for a period of up to three months up until the end of June 2020.
In line with national approaches to similar matters, payments will be made at 90% of the contract amount which also helps reflect adjustments in relation to operating costs where schools are closed and journeys to and from schools have been suspended.
This should help to alleviate some of the problems that you as businesses will be encountering at this difficult time, and allow you to continue to pay staff. We also hope that you will be flexible in helping the Council at this critical period by supporting other service areas across the Council, should taxi provision be required whilst schools are closed.
