Why are we consulting?

We are updating the Council’s adopted Statement of Community Involvement to take account of new consultation methods, changes in legislation and a need to focus resources.

The Statement of Community Involvement sets out the Council’s policy for community involvement in the planning process: the preparation and review of local planning policy and decisions on planning applications through the Development Management process.
