Older Persons' Housing Strategy

Consultation details

Older Persons' Housing Strategy 2019-2029

Start date: 28/01/2019
Closing date: 08/04/2018
Status: Open
Why are we consulting?

Derby's current Older Persons' Housing Strategy 2015-18 is ready to be reviewed and renewed. We have developed a new Strategy which sets out a framework for suitable action around the provision of housing for older people, to help meet the rising need for older people's housing. The strategy encompasses our broader objectives around provision for older people and we wish to consult on these aims and objectives and the various agencies roles in delivering these. It is important therefore, that we seek the views of all stakeholders, and particularly older residents themselves, in finalising this strategy.

Who are we consulting?

The consultation is open to all, including older people (55+) who are residents in Derby, older persons' housing providers, tenant forums, charities such as Age UK, and private and social landlords. We seek to ensure that all partners are fully engaged with the aims and delivery of the proposed objectives.
