Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) Consultation to promote responsible dog ownership in Derby
|Why are we consulting?||
The vast majority of dog owners are responsible and clean up after their dog. However, there is significant evidence to suggest that dog fouling in our public places is an increasing problem. Many Councils across the country already have PSPOs which help them enforce responsible dog ownership and control.
We are proposing a city wide PSPO to help us tackle this issue.
We know that we need to balance things that people want in order to feel safer and happier in public areas, whilst at the same time not stopping people from enjoying themselves or introducing rules and regulations that can not be enforced.
|Who are we consulting?||Residents of Derby.|
|Organisation carrying out the consultation:||Derby City Council|
