The Mayor has a civic duty to represent and promote the City of Derby. The Mayor is always keen to help support events and causes which raise the profile of the city and it's residents, both locally and further afield.
To invite the Mayor you need to complete a booking form
Invitations should be submitted a minimum of 14 days before the event.
If you approach the Mayor directly, either by email or in person, this will not constitute a booking until it has been confirmed by the Mayor's Office.
When inviting the Mayor to attend an event or open a business, it is customary to make a donation towards the Mayor's Charity Fund. There is no minimum suggested donation, but it is assumed that this will be proportionate to the size of your business.
The Mayor has a busy schedule and it isn’t always possible to attend every event they are invited to.
If a family member or family friend turns 100 on their birthday, you can ask the Mayor to visit them or send congratulations.
The Mayor can also send congratulations for special anniversaries of 50 years and over.
