Oaklands Childrens Centre Austin Sunnyhill Children's Centre is part of SureStart - the government's aim to give every child the best start in life. The centre offers you a friendly and welcoming environment. It works with parents, parents-to-be and carers of children to promote the physical, intellectual and social development of children.

Families can access childcare, health services and family support at the Centre, as well as information and advice on training or education, stay and play sessions and more.

We also have a children's nursery at our Homelands Early Years Centre site. The nursery is owned by 'Action for Children', and is for children aged 0 to five years old. For more information, contact the Nursery Manager on 01332 766127.

What activities do you have at your centre?

Here is a list of our weekly activities:

Mondays:
1.00pm to 3.00pm	Child health clinic

Tuesdays:
9.30am to 11.30am	Parenting Coping with Children's Behaviour Course - Booking required. Contact Sam Husdon for more information.
1.00pm to 2.30pm	Women's only stay and play
2.30pm to 3.00pm	'Toy Library' - an opportunity to loan toys for as little as 10p per week.

Wednesdays:
9.30am to 11.00am	Child health clinic at New Mount Methodist Church, Blagreaves Lane.
10.00am to 11.00am	Let's Get Creative (25 Jan, 22 Feb, 22 March only)
1.30pm to 3.00pm	Bumps and Bundles - For expectant mums and parents with children under 18 months.

Thursdays:
10.00am - 11.30am	Butterfly Group special needs stay and play - Specifically tailored for children who have additional needs. Please contact Lauren or Michelle on 01332 641315 before attending.

Fridays:
9.30am to 11.00am	PEEP (0-3 years covering all areas of development) Limited spaces. Please contact Kali on 01332 380134 for more information.
12.30 - 2.30pm	Basic Budgeting (starting 20 Jan) - A course to support families to budget their income or benefits. All 5 sessions must be attended. Booking required. Please contact Sam Hudson on 01332 641315.
